Parts of Speech Wiki
1. Go to the Haiku class page, and click on Language Arts at side. You will find the Wiki assignment halfway down the page.
2. Select View Projects.
3. Click on the Go to my WikiSite box.
4. You will add content blocks to the page to create new places to include information on the page

Things to Add
1. The content blocks have list multiple things you can add to your WikiSite. Please use one of the following.
2. On page text is information you type into the page. This could be definitions or sentences.
3. Weblinks are links to outside webpages. If you find a really good website that has games, instructions, or even quick quizzes you can use this.
4. Files can be uploaded from things that you created.
5. If you use Flickr, you can put up a variety of photos that you have put onto Flickr.
6. You can upload your own pictures to show a part of speech.
7. You can record your own audio and to upload to your wiki.
8. You can record a video where you are showing the parts of speech and upload it.
9. You can find a video on Youtube and put it on your wiki (must be school appropriate!!!!)
10. You can embed a web comic or classtools.net game if you get an embed code.

Getting Embed CodesToondoo
1. You must create a ToonDoo account. It is a free site, but it does have the ability to communicate with others. Keep your ToonDoos private so others will not bother you. 2. Create a comic and save it. Do not allow others to purchase the comic and make the comic private. 3. After saving your ToonDoo go to My ToonDoos under Toons. Select the ToonDoo and click on the embed icon <> at the bottom of the menu. 4. The code automatically copies to your computer. 5. Click on embed the web and paste the code into the box. 1. Go to classtools.net and select the Arcade Game Generator at the left. 2. Create the quiz. Read the directions very carefully!!! 3. Create a password that you will remember. Only a few letters is fine. 4. After creating the quiz you will go to a new page. Click on Share this Quiz. 5. Choose URL Link/Embed Code. Make your video size medium. 6. Select and copy the entire code. 7. Click on embed the web and paste the code into the box. |
